New year means new Zoya colors with the Color Your World Promotion. Of course, I was all over that and got 3 new colors even though I didn't actually want anything specific. Since I've been pleased with all my Zoya purchases beforehand, I decided to take the chance and buy one of their sheer pinks. This is
Zoya Olivia. I've been looking for the perfect pink for almost a year now. I wanted one that was slightly yellow-toned, light, sheer but buildable to opacity, not streaky, etc. etc.
OPI Don't Burst My Bubble was kind of my hope, but that was a bit too cool for what I was aiming for.
During my Zoya research, I realized most of their sheers had basically zero swatches or reviews, which is just plain scary. I did not want to buy a dud with my precious promotion code. In the end, I decided on Olivia after comparing the official description with a bunch of other candidates and determining that it sounded the least risky. I have to say, I'm quite pleased. Olivia is sheer, yes, but reached decent opacity in 3 coats, full opacity in 4. It was slightly streaky if I used too thin of a coat, so I found it best to kind of glob it on and let it settle. The color is indeed warm-toned. If I could change something, I would make it just a hint lighter. Maybe it's because it got dirty, but the color seemed to blend in with my skin tone after a week of wear. Actually, in these pictures, it looks better than I remember. Hmm...well, here's hoping that this will help some future Zoya purchaser.

Progression from 1 coat to 4 coats. It builds up nicely. |

Zoya Olivia on left, OPI Don't Burst My Bubble on right. You can see how Olivia is definitely warmer. |
