Matte Leopard

Welcome to the first post of the year! Or, more like, the first post in a year.... >.< For 2014, I'm going to try to be much more dedicated in regards to posting manis.  I have tons of manis stockpiled for sharing, hopefully at a relatively consistent pace, so here goes!

Matte Leopard Nails
The above is definitely one of my favorite manis to date.  Leopard print is always so much fun to do, and relatively easy to create.  I finally worked up the courage to go for full-blown leopard nails, while in the past leopard has served as an accent nail. To offset the "in your face" factor, I put on my trusty OPI Matte Topcoat, which definitely helped balance out the craziness.

I started off with OPI My Vampire is Buff as the base color on four nails.  Of course, an accent nail is necessary, thus China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint on the ring fingers!  For the regular nails, I dabbed on spots of Re-Fresh Mint, China Glaze For Audrey, and Zoya Bevin. One green shade is simply not enough ;) The leopard spots on the accent nail were created with My Vampire is Buff.  I finished off with little c shapes to frame the spots.  To bring down the intensity, I opted for grey instead of the traditional black.  You should definitely give this a go!
