OPI Jade Is the New Black

This post is about two weeks late. Actually, before this I wore Essie Lilacism but didn't feel like blogging about it for personal reasons.

Anyway, I've been on a green obsession lately. More specifically, blue-greens. During a moment of weakness, I decided to order OPI Jade Is the New Black from Amazon as a treat for myself (although I haven't done anything to really deserve it...oops). I thought this would be more blue-green than what it actually is, which is pretty much a forest green with the smallest hints of blue. It might be the yellow in my skin that's bringing out the yellow tones more, but the end result is more emerald than jade in my opinion. But hey, emerald is the Pantone color of the year and therefore super trendy right now, so no complaints. Jade Is the New Black is still a lovely color. The formula was amazing, not too thick or thin, completely opaque in two thin coats. Plus, the OPI Prowide brush is so frickin' easy to use. OPI definitely deserves its good rep.

This is from the Hong Kong collection OPI did in 2010; the other colors look pretty interesting as well!
