Vivs and I went to Ulta over break (of course), and I picked up a few new polishes (of course). Among them was
Ulta Professional Smoke and Mirrors, a cool-toned taupe creme. I'm not quite sure what's different about their "Professional" line versus the regular line with the cylindrical bottles, but it was equally on sale for 2 for $4. Smoke and Mirrors was smooth and problem-free and went on opaque in two coats. The coolness doesn't clash with my yellow skin tone, surprisingly. In fact, in some lights the polish looks like a washed out light purple. Me gusta. Read more after the jump.
What I'm not a huge fan of, is the huge-ass bottle cap. It's just big enough to make application ever-so-slightly awkward. I thought that the cap might come off to reveal a more reasonably sized one for application, and I even saw what looked like an inner cap, BUT IT JUST WON'T BUDGE. See below for what I mean. It's pretty unfortunate.
